Tango Gameworks staffer Takeo Kido has documented the Hi-Fi Rush developer's last day.The Tokyo-based studio was shuttered by parent company Microsoft in May. CI Games already has a follow up to 2023's Lords of the Fallen in development, and PC-wise, that title will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store.Spotted by the likes of PCGamer, CI and Epic Games recently entered into a binding agreement for the 2026-bound game. Under it (in translated form), Epic has the "exclusive global distribution right" for the new title for its "entire product life cycle."For consoles, CI maintains the rights to publish Fallen's sequel on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the entire IP overall. The Polish developer saw 226.8 million PLN in revenue, up 30 percent from 2023's start.In the financial results for 2024's first quarter, the sci-fi RPG made an estimated 146.2 million PLN (around $37.38 million). Most of its product and service sales (186.22 million PLN) this quarter were from Cyberpunk. By comparison, The Witcher 3 and its two expansions comprised only 28.23 million PLN.CD Projekt is very proud of Cyberpunk 2077's reception shift: it opened its earnings report by revealing it has an "Overwhelmingly Positive" Steam consensus. Bungie's Marathon reboot is undergoing a regime change. Per IGN, Riot alum Joe Ziegler has been directing the extraction shooter, taking over from Christopher Barrett.Ziegler joined Bungie in late 2022 in a then-vague role. According to his Twitter, he's been directing the game for nearly a year as the Marathon team's had a larger shift in its creative leadership.At time of writing, it's unclear if Barrett will remain at Bungie, and also why he was removed to begin with."For the last nine months, I’ve been working on Marathon as the game director," wrote Ziegler.
